Market Recap For October 13th, 2021

Once again, markets jostled back and forth without too much headway being made in either direction. Stocks mostly seemed to find green.

Although it’s too early to get a great gauge on direction, the Nasdaq in particular seems to be ready to move a little higher.

Yesterday’s Sector Performance

Utilities shot to the top of yesterday’s market.

Financials ended up as the only sector meaningfully in the red.

Five-Day Sector Performance

Nothing new here, Energy is still on top.

Likewise, Communication Services are still at the bottom.

ETF Trade Watch

Energy Select Sector SPDR (XLE)

Utilities Select Sector SPDR (XLU)

Until the trend ends, Energy is the top space to look for bullish trades, and the XLE is always one of the main ETFs to look at.

With Utilities seeming to make a turn for the better, bullish traders might also want to take a look at the XLU.

Good luck!
