Market Recap For November 22nd, 2021

Coming into the week we had expectations of a lower market. Even though it didn’t start that way, that is how it ended.

The Dow fell 300 points from its high, while the Nasdaq fell around 350. Nothing about those declines look to be over.

Yesterday’s Sector Performance

Although it wasn’t a banner day, Energy performed well.

Technology and communication Services did not.

Five-Day Sector Performance

Consumer Discretionary may sit at the top now, but it may not remain that way.

Energy is still sitting at the bottom, even with yesterday’s rally.

ETF Trade Watch

Communication Services Select Sector SPDR (XLC)

Technology Select Sector SPDR (XLK)

Markets shave flip flopped back and forth, which makes it challenging to gauge where the coming days take it.

If the decline from yesterday does follow through into today, ETFs such as the XLK and XLC will likely suffer the most.

Good luck!
