Market Recap For December 2nd, 2021

In somewhat of a surprise, markets barely dipped at all yesterday, a day after it seemed almost guaranteed that they would drop further.

Thursday’s close was a cautiously bullish one, but it took place within the context of a week where stocks have bounced back and forth.

Yesterday’s Sector Performance

Industrials jumped to the top after having been one of the weaker ones.

Healthcare struggled to eke out some green.

Five-Day Sector Performance

Technology is still at the top of the past trading week.

Communication Services and Energy are tied at the bottom.

ETF Trade Watch

Industrial Select Sector SPDR (XLI)

Energy Select Sector SPDR (XLE)

Thursday finished on a bullish tone, albeit a nervous tone. If the rally extends further, Industrials and Energy may continue to recover strongly.

The XLI and XLE had great days yesterday, and neither have the look of being finished to the upside.

Good luck!
